2015 Livingstone Declaration and Action Plan

Subsequent to the signing of the Paris Declaration by some Mayors of cities of the world in Paris, Mayors from selected African cities met in Accra Ghana to sign the Paris Declaration. Likewise, councils in Zambia were requested at the 59th Joint LGAZ Annual Conference and 12th AMICAALL General Assembly to endorse the Paris Declaration committing their local authorities to accelerate their response to the HIV and AIDS pandemic. Consequent upon, the following resolution was passed: “We the delegates to the Joint 59th Local Government Association of Zambia.

“That all Mayors and Council Chairpersons are committed to sign the Paris Declaration on fast tracking the end of AIDS by 2030”
