LGAZ HOLDS PRESIDENCY MEETING

Highlights from the Presidency meeting which took place today at Radisson Blu Hotel in Lusaka. Some salient issues considered were as follows:

1. LGAZ Submissions to Parliament on:

i. Sustainable management of water resources in Zambia;

ii. Implications of the 2024 Budget on local government; Decentralization Policy; Performance of CDF vis a vis regulatory framework;

iii. Review of the implementation of CDF;

iv. Fiscal Decentralization in Zambia and its impact on the economy.

2. LGAZ 2024 Budget and Planned Activities

3. Filling of Casual Vacancies within LGAZ governing bodies;

4. Preparations for the next Annual Conference;

5. Elected local government officials welfare

6. Zambia Devolution Support Program
