The council thought of addressing the problems of water borne, water related and water-based diseases by upgrading eight boreholes into water kiosks, and construction of modern ablution blocks in Mununshi and Chinyanta market in Kazembe to address the problems of diarrhea. To address the problem of lack of modern recreation facilities, the council constructed the modern community hall to be used for recreation activities. All these activities under the same package have been funded from the local Government equalization fund and some Water Kiosks from Constituency Development Fund at a total cost of k1,350000 for the kiosks, K1000,000for the Ablution Blocks and k850,000 for the community hall bringing the total cost to K 3200,000 for all the three projects.
