19th Graduation Ceremony held at Chalimbana Local Government Training Institute.

“Let me once again reiterate the fact that human capacity development in our local authorities is one of the the key elements for successful implementation of the decentralisation policy in Zambia. In this regard, my ministry is in the process of engaging the relevant stakeholders to ensure that, regardless of their prior qualifications, all local authorities should undergo a compulsory induction programme at Chalimbana Local Government Training Institute to enable them fully understand the local government system.” Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Honourable Gary Nkombo MP speaking during the 19th Graduation Ceremony held today at Chalimbana Local Government Training Institute, which he officiated.

In attendance was Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development Permanent Secretary Technical Services Mr. Wisdom Bwalya, LGAZ Executive Director Ms. Mpatanji Namumba and officials from the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.
