GRZ-UN JOINT TEAM COMMENCE SCOPING MISSION ON ADOLESCENT SRHR

A joint task force consisting of UNFPA, UNICEF, WHO, MOH, NAC, UNAIDS and AMICAALL today commenced the RAPHIZ Orientation and scoping mission on ‘Reducing Adolescent pregnancy and HIV/AIDS Project in Eastern and Southern Provinces.

The Project will be undertaken in Katete and Monze, a selection which was arrived at through epidemiological data which indicated high cases of early pregnancies, HIV/AIDS, STIs and GBV amongst adolescents in the two districts. The GRZ-UN team began their scoping mission with courtesy calls on both Provincial and District leadership in both Provinces and will proceed with an orientation activity which will target the District Health Director, the Local Authority on SRHR/HIV/SGBV service delivery.
